Rice University's department of Anthropology is engaged in a variety of research projects listed below. Some of these projects are password-protected, as they are currently underway, or contain material that cannot be made fully public. research project: The Ethics and Politics of Information Technology was conducted between 2002 and 2004, and includes interview transcripts, annotated transcripts and analyses by students and faculty. A workshop was convened in May of 2004 in which anthropologists and computer scientists discussed the materials. The project was funded by CITI
research project: The Ethics and Politics of Nanotechnology project is currently underway. It started in 2004 and was funded by CBEN
nodule: We are a nodule in the Anthropology of the Contemporary Research Collaboratory, an experiment in collaborative ethnographic work on contemporary issues, with nodules in Berkeley, San Diego, and New York.
