Turkish Cypriots announced last week they were demolishing the bridge in a bit to end a dispute with Greek Cypriots over the opening of a new crossing point between the island's war-divided communities. Greek Cypriots say the bridge is one of the main obstacles to opening Ledra Street, the main commercial road inside the walled old city. (AP Photo/Philippos Christou)
