Veranito de San Juan

It’s been unseasonably warm and very pleasant aside from the unrelenting smog. Enjoying the day yesterday and the fact that I have no more classes, I went on a foto taking excursion. I had realized the other day that rather than taking high resolution fotos I have been taking fotos at the smallest rate possible. Arrrrrgh. That really makes me crazy. So, some fotos that I have snapped of stencils, etc. are at normal foto size and I really wanted them to be much bigger. So, I bumped up the size and went out to do what I need to do.

On the way, I came across a colorful protest against the current education law: Ley General de Education or LGE. I snapped a lot of fotos but it was an uneventful protest down Paseo Ahumada and across the Alameda.

I continued to take pictures and suddenly got a text from one of my students telling me that I had been right in front of her building and wishing me good luck with my picture taking. Funny coincidence.

Later, I even took a few minutes to sit up on the terrace and take in a few rays. It was very crazy.

I ate picarones pasadas last night at The Naturalist as suggested. Really good.

Ingriid Betancourt is talking about the operation that rescued her on Gente Como Tu. I’m sure she’s glad to be free.

Gay Pride Weekend…

Thanks to my google updates and Qlipp website for posting this and I am reposting this. I find it interesting that this comes along this week when something will be happening this weekend in Mormon Congregations throughout California and, rumored to be in other parts of the US.
